Oké, het is nog net niet officieel, volgens de geruchten zou deze camera op 1 september wereldkundig worden gemaakt, maar het is zo goed als zeker dat de nieuwe EOS telg van Canon de 7D zal zijn.
De uitgelekte specificaties liegen er niet om, opvallend is wel dat het om een APS-C sensor gaat met een crop factor van 1.6. Dit is normaal bestemd voor de xxD/yyyD reeks zoals de 50D, 500D enz..

Ook zouden er 3 nieuwe lenzen geïntroduceerd worden, twee hiervan zijn speciaal voor EF-S reeks.
